We are «GREENGO TOURS» (see Lonely Planet’s page on Potosí) and Julio César Morales Zambrana, activists for the rights of miners due to our authentic experience in the mining world. We have legal status No. 379/2017, granted by the Plurinational State of Bolivia. FUNAM works to provide support not only to children living and working in Cerro Rico, but also to those in rural and rural communities, where the needs are equally urgent.
Julio comes from a real family of miners and is truly convinced that the best way to get out of the circle of mines is through a high-level education, with the aim of improving the quality of life of hundreds of children and widows of miners who still exist and live in Cerro Rico.

We will provide school supplies for the 27 de Marzo Cooperative to start the initial project. Many children drop out of school in primary and secondary school because parents do not have enough money to buy pencils, books, pens, etc. In addition, they do not have clothes such as shoes, school uniform, and they also need good motivation from their parents, who are mostly indigenous people. Children drop out of school because there is not enough money to feed them. Miners do not earn much working in silver mines, all these factors cause miners’ children to drop out of school, which generates a high school dropout rate in local society
